Adults view relationships between teenagers as silly and naive.
They think that these are meaningless and simply not worth any of our time or effort . Sure , maybe there is a vast number of flings and hook - ups between adolescents , but that doesn’t mean that we are incapable of staying committed and maintaining a solid relationship . Adults don`t realize this.
They don`t realize how his voice sends butterflies fluttering through our stomachs , causing our heartbeat race . They don`t realize how his “ I love you`s ” can immediately brighten our day . They don`t realize how his compliments can instantly make us feel like the most beautiful girl in the world . They don`t realize how the safest place for us , away from all our problems and sadness , is in his arms . They don`t realize the euphoria we experience with every breathtaking kiss . They don`t realize how painfully our hearts ache whenever he`s not around, or when we don’t feel good enough to be with him . They don`t realize how we feel like the luckiest girl on the planet to be with him , to have been chosen out of all the girls he knows . Or how afraid we are of losing him , terrified that he`ll find someone better . Or how long we hold on to every promise and I love you , even if we are desperately dangling by a thread , willing to pick up the shattered pieces of our broken hearts if he does decide to say goodbye .
They don`t realize any of this .
Like seriously , agreed ! Why can`t they accept the fact ?
